New arrivals for AW19

We’re delighted to announce the launch of our new Autumn/Winter edit. From the AW19 fashion week shows earlier in the year, we can see that the big fashion houses aren’t totally reinventing the wheel. Instead they are going back – sometimes way back – into their archives and bringing out the very best in which to dress your toes this season.

The 70s just keep on coming back and they are making another resurgence again this autumn. Think tweed, houndstooth, checks, lots of textures, prints and big scarves. Pair it all with gorgeous nappa leathers, suedes and block heels for a super chic and effortless look.

To get this year’s minimal style, it’s all about the tailoring. It may be a simple, pared back look, but it’s the little details that make you look and feel a million dollars. For shoes, think classic moccasins with a subtle twist and leathers that complement the textures in the tailoring.

The trend for brightening up those dull days are the hottest fuschia pinks, the brightest red tomato, and any other bright neon tones. If you’re into matching your shoes with your neon suit then opt instead for dark metallic - the new black on the catwalk.

There’s a party going on somewhere because glitter is everywhere, and not just not for evening. Here at Made The Edit, we’ve never been shy of our love for anything that glimmers - we want to wear it day and night and this year’s daylight disco trend lets you do just that. Tweed skirt, blouse and gold sequinned cardi? Yes please!

So you’ve got the lowdown on the autumn winter 2019 trends. Here’s what’s Made The Edit for us this season…

All heel types from kitten to platform and everything in between are celebrated again this season. Last year’s KIT boot in its confident silver metallic is still very much present, but it’s not sparkles for sparkles’ sake. It’s still got to be practical so heel height is key.

Knee high boots are seeing a resurgence in decadent rich leathers. The on point boot and new square toe are still very prominent. Ankle boots are ideal to wear now. They can replace your summer sandals, looking great with bare legs and dresses. And once the weather changes they pair up brilliantly with skirts & tights or jeans.

Flats are perfect for work days and other days when you’re rushing around. And just because it’s a flat doesn't mean it has to bring your look down. The flats that made the edit this season are great paired with pants, skirts and add a bit of va va voom to your everyday outfits.
